Ztrains.com Gets A New Name
We’re making some changes here at Ztrains.com; the most noticeable right off the bat is we’re changing our name. In a week or so, we’ll no longer be Ztrains.com. Now we’ll still be working in and with Z scale trains of course, but we’ll also be looking in to some of the other model rail scales out there. We’re not leaving Z scale; we’re just expanding what we do.
One of our initial outside-of-Z projects will be working with the PECO Nn3 tram shell. We have an article online now about this shell and we’re just now waiting on delivery from England of this kit. Our first project under our new name though will actually be a Z scale project, quick tips for weathering the Micro-Trains Line SOO boxcars.
Some other projects involve friends who work in both N scale and HO scales. Projects and products I’ve wanted to work on and write articles about for some time, but didn’t have a place to present them online. Now we have that place!
The new site will look and feel the same initially; functionally it will be identical to the current Ztrains.com. We’re looking forward to exploring new model rail ideas, techniques and products. Really, whatever strikes us as a fun and interesting project… that’s what we’ll cover.
We’re looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities on the horizon, and hope you’ll come along for the ride with us. We look to have the new site launched soon.
See you there, well, here… but with our new name!
