The KATO Pocket Line Diorama Is Done!
Here’s Part II of this little N scale, XPS foam diorama build. This diorama was built on top of a pair of 6.5″ pink foam discs we cut in a previous video. The main focus of this scene was actually twofold. I want to continue to work on my rock carving technique in foam and also I wanted a good looking scene to display a KATO Pocket Line locomotive, in this case the KATO steeplecab loco.
I’ve do tend to build small pieces, like this diorama and desktop layouts, as I think it’s great to get that sense of satisfaction when a piece is completed. The small pieces are also a great way to try out new ideas before committing to a larger project. Plus, I admit, I’m kind of on a mission to get everyone building train scenes and layouts and scenery in general. I think this is an amazing hands-on hobby and I want other people to get the same satisfaction from this as I do!
