Soldering Helping Hands | Use The Old Or New Design?
Helping hands soldering stations are the the single most important thing you’ll think about today! Well, maybe the 2nd or 3rd most important thing. Nonetheless if you like clean, accurate work when it comes to your modelling world, a good set of soldering helping hands can be invaluable. At some point we’ll all have to do a bit of soldering.
Getting power to a railroad track, extending wire runs, adding LEDs and their wire extensions, being able to solder cleanly is an invaluable and relatively easy skill to acquire and having the right tools will help.
I’ve been using an old-school pair of helping hands I bought from Radio Shack years ago. They’re still kicking and now refurbed a bit, better than new! In this video I look at this older style of helping hands design alongside a newer magnetic arm style.
