Miniature Lighthouse Model Build | Satisfying Mini Project
Going through my model train parts boxes recently I came across several 3D printed lighthouses I bought several years ago but never got around to working on. Let’s change that! I had completely forgotten I’d also actually bought a few 3mm “Breathing” lighthouse LEDs. I decided to finally get to this project and put it together with just supplies I had on hand, not buying any “extras”, something I often do. That’s how I tend to end up with lots of bits I never get to use.
I even got a bit of sun and fresh air as I went down to the waterfront to hunt for some driftwood. I got lucky and found a perfect little chunk of wood with lots of character that we’ll use as the base for this lighthouse. I also got wet sneakers as I thought the seaweed I stepped on was on the sand… it’s wasn’t! Wet shoes are a small price to pay for this satisfying little lighthouse project.
Not every project needs to be a grand undertaking and I’m really glad I opened that parts box and found these old lighthouses.
